Sharing Hundreds of College Notes Awards Jeff 2 iPods!

Tuesday, May 26th, 2009

jeffA super massive congratulations to Jeff Nelson from Iowa State University! He reached 40,000 points by uploading, selling and sharing his Engineering notes from Iowa State! So we sent him 2 iPod Touch’s to say ‘Thanks!’ He had the following to say about us:

“Like hundreds of other college students who were serious about their majors, I was always on my toes, fighting for recognition, and always performing over expectations with the rest of my class. I, like many others, realized from a young age, that the key to most academic success was note-taking. Taking good notes, in my opinion, makes students standout. It shows organization and dedication, which unfortunately is overlooked.

I came across ShareNotes.com when I had been referred to the idea of “Uploading Notes for money” from a couple of friends. I had thought of the idea before, but didn’t think that they were legit or the caliber of dedication would be too much. Therefore I dismissed the idea. However, a couple weeks ago, I found this site, ShareNotes.com, and I finally became excited. I’ve always been one to read the “Terms and Conditions” of the site to read on the integrity of the company or offers that were available. I was glad to find out that the site was in fact legit and was relatively simple to use. So I thought I would give it a shot.

I have been very impressed so far with the establishment. I love the quick emails the companies prides itself with and how simple the site is to use. This site has changed my view on the idea of sharing ideas and I am thankful that there is a place where hard work and dedication is finally rewarded!”

College Lecture Notes = Another iPod Winner

joseCongratulations to Jose Saenz from The University of Texas at San Antonio! He reached 20,000 points pretty darm quickly! So we sent him an iPod Touch to say ‘Thanks!’ He had the following to say about us:

“I stumbled upon sharenotes.com after it was featured in my campus newspaper and was instantly hooked. Not only did sharenotes.com reward me for work I had already done, but it provided a valuable resource on those unavoidable days when school seems to take a back seat. Birthed from a fairly straightforward idea, Sharenotes.com has quickly developed into a countrywide network of students all sharing the same ambitions, stresses, and late-night cram sessions. Moreover, this site was created by the very same students it serves. We are all in the same boat and Sharenotes.com is here to aid us in that ultimate goal we all have in common: graduation. Thank you to all at sharenotes.com!”

Avoid Plastic

Tuesday, May 19th, 2009

I recently read a pretty good article outlining the dangers of getting credit cards, especially when in college. The study stated that something like 92% of students have charged schools supplies and books. Something you use one semester ends up taking months or even years to pay off. That’s scary! I’m sure this sounds familiar on sharenotes.com. I know I’ve got a card, so I am guilty as the rest of us. I try my best to be good with is.

The study also mentioned that graduating seniors averaged a credit debt of 4100 bucks! Imagine it’s not bad enough we have student loans, but also 4 grand on credit cards and we don’t even have a job yet! In this economy, no thanks! I’ve taken a pledge to myself to be very frugal because I can’t afford to be in that much debt by the time I’m done in school. What says you sharenotes.com are you throwing down the plastic more then you ought to? C’mon! Fess up! You know you are. As the article pointed out, just be sure that if you are using cards, be sure you’ve got a low APR which can save you a bundle on finance charges.

John and Kate plus Infidelity?

Yeah okay okay I know I’ll probably get some flak on sharenotes.com for following this story, but what can I say, my girl makes me watch it! Well maybe she doens’t MAKE me, but yet it’s on and I watch it a little. Anyway you can’t go to the grocery store without seeing 50 magazines with these two on the cover.

Let just assume for a minute that one or both of them is cheating, the question of the year is, how the heck with 8 kids do you even have time to cheat? Now come one, I know some of you on sharenotes.com are juggling 2-3 girlfriends or boyfriends all at once. It’s probably hard enough being in college and doing it, now imagine you have 8 kids running around everywhere!!

I don’t know they probably are, but I just find it hard to believe. What do you think?

Swine Flu: Fact or Fiction?

Tuesday, May 19th, 2009

I’m trying to get the pulse of the college nation, since sharenotes.com is a great cross section of students, I’m wondering what you think? Personally I think that the media has taken the story and run with it a bit too far. I think that fear sells and if there is something that the media can latch onto to get a reaction from the general public. They are happy to do so. There may be something to it, and WHO and the CDC is working on it, but until there are some definitive facts that I feel deserve alarm I’m going to go on with my life as normal. I hear that there have been some cases in New York, if anyone on sharenotes.com is out East feel free to chime in. I’m in California but despite our having some cases as well, I haven’t really seen anything out of the norm, e.g. people walking around with masks on!
