Thanks to Jon Ray of MakeMoneyinCollegeBlog.com for realizing the value that ShareNotes.com brings to college students.
Sell you notes online – ShareNotes.com
One of the easiest ways to be rewarded for your mad note-taking skills is to upload them to ShareNotes.com.
ShareNotes.com is a unique online lecture note sharing service. We’ve created a collaborative environment that allows college students who share classes to also share their lecture notes. In just minutes you can be part of the ShareNotes.com community. Bolster your own study materials, share your lecture notes and maybe even make some money.
While ShareNotes certainly makes the process of uploading your notes and getting them to a wide audience easy, their payment structure is somewhat lacking. ShareNotes works on a point system, where a reward or prize is given out at 5,000 point intervals. Prizes include giftcards to iTunes, Amazon and free iPods. If that’s enough to entice you to upload your notes, then go for it. It’s free to get started and the more notes you upload, the more points you earn.
So sharenotes.com I have 300 bucks expendable cash, which is really rare, so I wanna know what to do with it? Here are some things on my mind. First of all I want a new lens for my digital SLR, but I am about 100 bucks off, so I can pocket the cash and keep saving. I really want a new lens but I hate waiting and I kind of want to blow it now.
I’m also thinking about getting a new iPhone because my is now 2 generations old and therefore lame. I could blow it all on Blurays and wii / xbox games and a large pizza. I was also thinking about rallying some troops for a cheap trip to Vegas. I’m talking: road trip, 6 people in one room at the stratosphere, Bud light and chips kind of cheap. I figure I could make 300 stretch a weekend that way.
So you guys decide for me, what do you think? sharenotes.com you make the call!
a. save and get the lens
b. New iPhone
c. blurays / games / pizza
d. Vegas Baby!!!
e. Other (please list your idea on your comments)
Let me hear what you think, I want to decide by the weekend!!
I had to move recently and I had to spend an entire weekend devoid of internet and television. I realized how addicted to tech I am. I am certain I am not the only one on sharenotes.com that has this addiction. In fact I am certain there are people who are far worse.
By the time I had TV and Internet installed on Monday, I had missed about 1000 emails, blog comments, all my news (I only get news off the web, CNN and MSNBC etc..), Gossip (Perez Hilton / TMZ), I had missed a ton of shows. I pretty much had no idea what was happening in the world. I realized that I get almost no info of any value by any physical means. Our parents and grandparents had to rely on the printed word for everything they knew. Think about the delay in their lives. With us, we knew the second Paris Hilton was released from jail, real time.
It’s a little sad. Worst of all though, I missed the Laker game and had to rely on texts every 30 seconds from a friend. If it weren’t for my cell phone, I might as well have ceased to exist. Here I am back on sharenotes.com, at my computer getting my fix again. Anyone else feel the same? What do you do to disconnect? Do you even want to?
I am certain that many people on sharenotes.com live in places much colder then SoCal, so I’m sure my complaining will garner some negative comments. But I have to say that it’s been really gloomy and sad this year and it’s June! I know it’s supposedly June “gloom” and all that, but it feels like it’s been going on forever. March, April and May we’re all pretty bad. Normally summer starts at the beginning of March when the sun starts shining and the flowers blooming.
I guess I’m just excited for it to be “summer” already. You know, BBQ, Beach parties, Frisbee at the park. The good stuff! So sharenotes.com tell me where you’re at and how the weather’s been. Feel free to call me a typical spoiled Californian, I can take it.
