anonJonathan Tong, posts a nice collection of lecture notes and class notes for University of British Columbia! He reached 20,000 points by uploading, selling and sharing his college notes from University of British Columbia! We just sent Jonathan a spanking new 8 gig iPod to say ‘Thanks!’

Jonathan had the following to say about us:

“I first discovered ShareNotes.com through a friend of mine who highly recommend it to me. ShareNotes.com is a brilliant website. I like the idea of a single organized and central server in which us students can compile all of our notes, lectures, or practice exams. This also allows students to, if need be, look at upcoming courses they may enroll in at a later date and to get a feel for the work ahead. Normally such material is only provided after enrolling in a course. Myself, a case in point, was once researching the material of a certain course I was to enroll in but could not locate any suitable references. ShareNotes.com is able to provide a simple antidote to this by centralizing course notes/material for students to browse through and download. I look forward to continuing to use this site by both up and downloading in the coming term.”

“Wow! I’m extremely pleased that I found ShareNotes.com. Sometimes, I have a hard time concentrating in class since I have troubles paying attention for long periods of time and because of this, I end up taking little or no notes at all.  This really makes it hard for me to obtain good grades in my classes especially when I forget to write down important material. Since I found ShareNotes.com, I’m able to access the notes that other students have uploaded and I’m glad to have this wonderful resource.”

Danny had the following to say about us:

ShareNotes.com is an excellent resource which enables students to share classroom notes and lecture materials online. Not only is the service free, but students can also sell their files for cash and receive funds via PayPal and Google Checkout. How often do students get tangible rewards for taking and sharing good notes? Never… until ShareNotes.com came around! I originally found ShareNotes.com by searching for a website where I could upload and distribute my class notes. I’ve given them to other students before, and the notes have helped tremendously. So I thought to myself, “Why not upload them somewhere so everyone can access them at any time?” I found my solution, and it was better than I would have imagined. Not only do I get to upload and distribute my files, but I could set prices on them AND get rewarded just for participating! I cannot wait to see what becomes of ShareNotes.com once more students start using it, and I applaud the team for creating such a versatile and useful tool!”

BYU Adds a Couple Hundred College Notes. Here’s Your iPod Taylor!

Thursday, July 9th, 2009

taylor-richardsTaylor Richards, posts a nice collection of lecture notes and class notes for BYU he reached 20,000 points by uploading, selling and sharing  college notes from Brigham Young University ! We just sent Taylor an iPod Touch to say ‘Thanks!’

Taylor had the following to say about us:

“I have on many occasions found myself in class wondering how much more I would understand if the professor would simply give me a copy of her notes so that I could follow along with her lesson plan during class. On other occasions, I’ve sat mulling over whether or not I completed my homework assignment correctly. Still, at other times, I have speculated how much better I would have performed on the midterm if only I had greater familiarity with the teacher and his testing regime. ”

“Because ShareNotes.com allows users to share previous homework assignments, lecture notes, and exams, many of my concerns have been ameliorated. It is for these reasons and many more that makes this website an incredibly valuable resource for students like me. I hope that more students continue to discover this website, so that it can truly fulfill its potential as THE online source for help in class.”
