Badda Bing!

Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009

I’m sort of polling sharenotes.com to see how people are feeling about Bing and see if anyone is using it. If you don’t know what Bing is, it’s basically Microsofts attempt to unseat Google’s supremacy in search engine dominance.

I’ll admin I’m a Mac guy and I have had my problems with Microsoft products, but then again I own an X-box that I love dearly. So I suppose there is room for us all to co exist. I have to admit though it seems a daunting task to try to usurp the king. It seems as though Google and it’s many components have reached the status of deity in the computing field.

Then again Microsoft is a juggernaut in it’s own right. Also it’s spin on searching is that it’s the worlds first “decision engine” claiming that it’s systems are empowered to lead you directly to that which you are desperately seeking. I suppose time will tell.

sharenotes.com have you made a switch? Just dabbling? A little of both? It seems to us, switching from PC to Mac, or google to Bing is like our parents (or grandparents) deciding to drive a Toyota over a Ford or Coke to Pepsi. As for me, I think Google is wonderful, I love it’s spartan site vs Yahoo (the second most popular search engine) which I find cluttered and annoying. But I’m keeping my mind open to Bing.
