I recently read a pretty good article outlining the dangers of getting credit cards, especially when in college. The study stated that something like 92% of students have charged schools supplies and books. Something you use one semester ends up taking months or even years to pay off. That’s scary! I’m sure this sounds familiar on sharenotes.com. I know I’ve got a card, so I am guilty as the rest of us. I try my best to be good with is.
The study also mentioned that graduating seniors averaged a credit debt of 4100 bucks! Imagine it’s not bad enough we have student loans, but also 4 grand on credit cards and we don’t even have a job yet! In this economy, no thanks! I’ve taken a pledge to myself to be very frugal because I can’t afford to be in that much debt by the time I’m done in school. What says you sharenotes.com are you throwing down the plastic more then you ought to? C’mon! Fess up! You know you are. As the article pointed out, just be sure that if you are using cards, be sure you’ve got a low APR which can save you a bundle on finance charges.
