Congratulations to Manas Tetarbe from the University of Michigan! He uploaded the 500th note to Sharenotes.com, and we sent him an iPod Touch to say ‘Thanks!’ He had the following to say about us:
“In this fiercely competitive world, where employers and graduate schools are asking more and more from their applicants, good grades is just not enough. Applicants today, in addition to good grades, need research experience, volunteer work, extra-curricular activities etc. etc. to have a decent shot at getting into their dream school or job. All the extra stuff very obviously asks for some serious time commitment, and since there are only 24 hours in a day, a few sacrifices have to be made. These sacrifices sometimes come in the form of skipping class, just to get some sleep to get through the day. But, skipping class means losing class notes. In comes sharenotes.com . With the growing quantity of notes from colleges all over the nation on its website sharenotes enables students to skip class but still be in touch with the material. The source of these notes are students itself who managed to make it to class, and now are willing to help a few classmates out. These students upload their notes onto the website and in return get valuable gifts and prizes. Its a win win situation for everybody.
I, personally, started on this site as an uploader over the summer, but with Fall semester on the way, its only a matter of time when even I will have to go to sharenotes.com to catch up on a few notes. And since the site is so easy to navigate, my catching up should be a breeze.
Finally, if I were to describe sharenotes.com in one sentence it would be “sharenotes.com helps students do more in less”.
Thanks a lot,
Manas Tetarbe

So true…it’s really sad that we’re too busy to even sleep these days… staying up pulling all-nighters for a week straight!
