University of British Columbia is Rock Solid. Thanks William, Here’s Your iPod.

wongWilliam, Lu,  shares out 200+ University of British Columbia notes.  He reached 20,000 points by uploading, selling and sharing his college notes from The University of British Columbia! We just shipped William an iPod Touch’s to say ‘Thanks!’

William had the following to say about us:

ShareNotes.com is a wonderful resource for me and I’m glad that I stumbled upon it. I’m taking an organic chem course this summer and the professor is really hard to understand and my notes are really suffering. I’m really glad I found this resource as I can really supplement my notes to increase my marks in this class. Thanks alot Bill your doing a great job!”

I can’t believe people actually get paid/rewarded for posting their notes! ShareNotes.com should advertise on campus to get more people involved. Congrats!

April

wow! my school isn’t even listed on this website yet. this is impressive!

Andrew

Andrew,
Have you contacted ShareNotes.com and told them what you would like? When I claimed my iPods I went to the support page and sent an email requesting the prizes. You should get a response from Bill, the admin of the site, and he’ll let you know what’s up. I’d say it should take about a week or two to get them as ShareNotes.com will audit your notes.

Andrew

actually i got it, haha. pretty sweet

Ana

This is such a good idea I’m surprised more students from more schools aren’t involved.

Amanda

It’ll probably take some time for the idea to catch on. I think in general when people associate money and studying tools, that “scam-o-meter” alarm goes off–particularly with the threat of expulsion through “academic misconduct” hanging over their heads. If you stop and consider that it’s notes–things that are freely exchanged between students, that are even provided as a service to students who have difficulty taking them–then you can see that it’s a perfectly legitimate resource. But it takes some time to break through that barrier at first and realize it’s not a scam, or unethical.
